Well I'm done my slippers. They are soooooooo comfy. To bad they are for a christmas present!! Ah well, I'm sure that the person getting them will love them. I can't post pictures, so I emailed them to Lana for her to do it for me. Hopefully she gets the email ok!
Anyways, it was fun doing the slippers. Hopefully I can whip up another couple of pairs before christmas. Unfortunalatly I have to get back to my baby gift project. I'm not enjoying this at all. I took the pattern out of a magazine and I'm not happy with the results at all. I think I'm going to just knit something else.
I will keep checking in to see the status of everyone else's slippers! Cant wait to see them all!!

Bye for now,
Tanja

The start of my obsession!!!
Well I guess I may as well post my first lot of slippers as well! I received "Simple Crochet' for my birthday in August and the first project that I just HAD to try were the Turkish Slippers! It was my first ever crochet project actually, so they really ARE simple...hehehe ^_^

The rust slippers (which are mine) were created with Rowan All Seasons Cotton and I used Sugar'n Cream cotton for the burgundy slippers (which are now owned by my mom). Both worked great! ^_^ I actually altered my mom's slippers a little since the S'nC cotton had a different gauge than was called for. It worked out great though! I now have requests from all her friends! hehe
And believe it or not......I'm about to start my 3rd set!!! They're just so simple, easy, fast and they make the PERFECT Christmas gift! The next set will be waiting under the Christmas tree for my grandmother!!! ^_^

My first completed slippers
I already posted this pic on my blog, but I thought I'd show it here as well, so it's easier to find. I used the Turkish Slippers pattern from
Simple Crochet by Erika Knight (a highly addictive pattern - eh, Lana?). I used a rainbow variagated cotton yarn and a pink cotton for the trim.

Looking forward to seeing all kinds of slippers on here. ^_^
